Second Cooperation Committee

On 26th February 2013 at Boyana Residence was held the second Cooperation Committee meeting under the BG 11 "Capacity building and institutional cooperation" with the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 .
During the Committee meeting various issues were discussed related to the bilateral fund, the national legislation and the Programme Regulation. The draft of the grant contract was commented in details by the PO and the beneficiaries. Discussed were also deadlines for submission of interim and final reports and disbursements for projects. The plans for the forthcoming activities in 2013 both at project and program levels were another point on the agenda. Presented were the communication plan for the program as well as the initiatives that have already been undertaken regarding information and communication.
In the second Cooperation Committee took part representatives of the Norwegian partners – the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities and the Norwegian Barents Secretariat, representatives of the beneficiaries - the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria and DG "Territorial Cooperation Management" at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, representatives of the Embassy of Kingdom Norway in Sofia, as well as observers from the EA "Audit of EU Funds" National Fund ".
Program BG 11 "Capacity building and institutional cooperation" aims to strengthen the institutional capacity and human resource development in the Bulgarian public institutions, local and regional authorities through cooperation and knowledge transfer with similar institutions in Norway. The total budget of the programme for the implementation of the two predefined projects is 2,371,765 Euro, of which the contribution of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism is 2,016,000 Euro.
